How does your service work?

It starts with a free estimate. Just get in touch and I’ll call you back to see what level of service and frequency you need, then visit your home to give you an accurate quote. There are no minimum number of cleanings and you can cancel your service at any time, though if we make a regularly scheduled arrangement, I appreciate a two week notice should you decide to cancel.

What exactly will you clean in my home?

Dusting baseboards, picture frames, lampshades, knick-knacks, window sills, furniture and basic light fixtures, vacuuming, spot-cleaning cupboards, washing floors and cleaning the bathroom and kitchen are typical services provided for a home cleaning session. I can usually accommodate any additional, reasonable requests as well, just ask!

Some of my clients require a deep clean throughout their entire house, including laundry and dishes. Others simply want a quick spruce. The level of service you require, your home size and your preferences will determine the final cost. Some examples of custom requests I can accommodate include cleaning and organizing your refrigerator, washing dishes, washing, drying and folding laundry and cleaning your walls or interior windows.

Why should I choose you over another cleaning service?

Unlike big companies with many employees and a ton of overhead, I can offer a more affordable service since you’re not paying for an office, a middle man, management or all of the other additional costs that larger businesses tack on. In addition, and unlike other cleaning services, I am the owner and operator – my performance directly affects my income. If you’re not happy, I’m not happy!

What days and times are you available?

This depends on the time of year and my current schedule, so please get in touch, and we’ll find a suitable time that works for both of us. Weekend service is available for a little extra. While I am unable to accommodate all specific time requests, we will agree on a specific day of the week and schedule for your particular home and you can count on it being cleaned at that time and day as agreed.

Do I need to supply the cleaning supplies?

I will bring everything I need to clean your home. If you have specific products you would like used, it’ll be your responsibility to provide those.

Do I need to be present when you clean my home?

Not at all, and most of my clients are not at home when I work my magic. If you won’t be home, I’ll just need a key and/or any gate or entry codes for your property. All keys will be returned upon cancellation of service. No one else will have access to this information or your keys.

How long does the average cleaning take?

It depends on what all you want done and the size of your home, but a typical 2500 square foot cabin takes around 6 hours.

How do I pay you?

I accept cash only for first-time customers. If you schedule regular cleanings (weekly, bi-weekly or monthly) I will gladly accept a check or credit card.

What is the difference between a house cleaning service and a housekeeper or maid?

In my book, nothing, really. “Maid” sounds a little old fashioned, but you’re welcome to call me whatever you’re comfortable with. My name is Renee. 🙂 Typically, a housekeeper refers to someone who works at a hotel or resort, while a house cleaner comes to your home.
